We are looking into Handicapped Leagues through Disc Golf United. The web site is www.discgolfunited.com.

What is a Handicap? Handicaps are the result of calculations used to adjust scores in sports competitions so players with different skill levels all have a chance to win. A disc golf handicap can be generated by Disc Golf United with only a single round of play. However, your handicap will continue to evolve and become a much more accurate measure as more scoring information is submitted. DGU will calculate and maintain three different Handicap Factors™ for current subscribers: -DGU Personal Handicap Factor™ is calculated when you input scores from rounds of disc golf you have played. Your Personal Handicap is basically the number of stokes your score would be adjusted if you were to play on the “Average”* disc golf course with a length of about 5,800 feet. This Personal Handicap Factor can be adjusted accordingly to determine your handicap on most any course with a known length. Your Personal Handicap can include scores you input from casual rounds, as well as tournament scores. Any rounds recorded during official DGU League rounds will automatically be displayed and averaged into your DGU Personal Handicap. -Official DGU and League Handicap Factors™ are created when you participate in Official DGU Leagues and events. Each league that you participate in will generate a separate League Handicap. A League Handicap is a rolling average that includes up to four of the most recent league rounds you have played. League scoring information can only be submitted by DGU League Directors. The Official DGU Handicap Factor™ is an overall generic handicap that is generated from all official DGU rounds. The Official DGU Handicap Factor™ is used to develop course specific handicaps.
We can have any number of players with at least 8 players agreeing to try this system for the 8 week league. We will play on Saturdays and will skip the Saturdays with a tournament scheduled. The points accumulated can be redeemed immediately or they can be added to future leagues to be redeemed later.
The financial commitment is $9.95 to join DGU and $5.00 to play each weekly round.
Where could this lead to? Players with handicaps can play one another head to head using the handicap system. Team Toccoa vs Team Easley vs Team Seneca at each others' course without separating by divisions.
I think this system is worth trying. The cost to each player to try it out is appx $50.00 with some of the players getting Innova products from the points won.
Players committed so far are: Gary Stettler Doug Stettler Sarah Stanhope Aaron Cunningham
I'd like to start around 01/13/07.
Let me know if you are interested.

The current players who are playing in the league are: Gary Stettler Doug Stettler Sarah Stanhope Aaron Cunningham Josh Burgess Erock John Cunningham Chad Knight Rick Hequembourg
We will start on Saturday 01/13/07. Cost is $9.95 to join DGU and .25 cents per round. We'll play 2 rounds to establish the handicap. Then we will play two rounds on 01/20/07 also for handicap. Cost is .25 cents per round. We will start playing for points in February. The cost then is $5.00 per round and we'll probably do one round each Saturday. Players do not have to play every time if a conflict arises. Anyone can join us at the beginning or during the league. We will set the time to play based on player's feedback.
I think this will be fun!

The League will start on Saturday 2/3/07 at 1pm. The current players have established their handicap, so the round on 2/3/07 will begin awarding points. Anyone can still join...send me an email or show up at 12:30pm on 2/3/07. 13 players are currently involved, so we are off to a great start!
We also are playing for Bag Tags during the League rounds for those who are in the club. Eroc shot a 49 last Saturday and he currently is holding tag #1! Great score, Eroc!

Going to be reeeeeeeeal fun this Saturday. In fact, I say this'll pretty much even out the playing field...as long as you can stay up right at the end of the tee box, that is
Unless things change, see you guys Saturday in Easley.

We have completed two weeks of the new handicap league and the league is going well. On 2/10/07 Dwayne took first place with Charlie Tinsley taking 2nd. Good rounds for you both! We will not hold the league on Sat 2/17/07 so players can play at the Timmons Monthly or travel to the Charlotte Ice Bowl; not on March 3 (Earlwood) nor on March 17th (Junior Championship at Easley).

"Let's get one thing straight: in Eye of the Storm, capturing towers is more important than capturing the flag. 4GB MP3 PLAYER I don't care how shiny and cool the flag is, that's not where the points are coming from. 8GB MP3 PLAYER Well, okay, maybe some of it, but if you don't have any towers to begin with. baladeur MP3 the flag isn't worth squat. canon digital camera For the past week or so, I've seen a disturbing trend from the Horde on my Battlegroup. canon digital camera -- there seems to be a growing fascination with fighting at the middle of the map, right where the flag is. cheap wow gold I wrote about Eye of the Storm and the basics of how it's played. digital camcorder In Patch 2. digital camcorders 3, the Battleground was modified so that flag captures will scale with the number of towers your side controls. dvd players I can't stress the importance of capturing towers enough. eve isk In EotS, unlike Arathi Basin, points are awarded constantly every 2 seconds. lineage 2 adena regardless of how many towers you control. lotro gold However, these points scale with each tower you control. lotro gold as shown by the table on the right. mp3 player kaufen Capturing the flag with only one tower (I mean, why. mp4 ) will award your team 75 points. mp4 players If your team controls two towers, it's worth 85 points; three, it's worth 100. portable dvd player and controlling all four towers means a swift and painless (ok, maybe not painless) death for your opponents as each flag cap is worth a whopping 500 points. portable dvd players It scales, people. world of warcraft gold And here's the one, brutal truth about the whole thing: it is mathematically impossible to win the game if you control only one tower. world of warcraft powerleveling Go ahead, make some calculations. Done. wow gold billig The only way it can be done is if you can capture the flag every 37. wow powerlevel 5 seconds. which honestly is barely enough time and necessitates complete unmolested passage. Good luck with that. If your side controls only one tower, just don't bother with mid. 2GB MP3 PLAYER Get another tower asap. If your team is down one tower to your opponents' three, and you still go after the flag, you are an idiot not helping your team at all. wow gold The one and only time it becomes acceptable is with the intention of keeping the flag. until your team secures another tower. That way it actually becomes more strategic and less moronic. " .
