There is a new unoffcial course around the Botanical gardens. I haven't played it but I have been around the gardens and it is nice out there.
The official course is just not moving along. Innova (Harold) has offered to donate baskets for a course. we just need a place to put it. It is hard to find someone to head this whole thing up and keep the momentum going at Clemson. Some FDGC memebrs were going to try a small tournament to help get the sport exposed on campus but it never happened. Basically, the Disc Golf at Clemson hasn't had any activity in more than a year.
I have heard rumors about baskets in the experimental forest. I hope to check it out one day soon.

Just so you all know, I will be meeting with the director of campus recreation after winter break (that would be Jan '07) regarding the possibility of a Clemson course. He is very supportive of the idea and wants to discuss where the course should be built. So if you have any new ideas, let me know. I am partial to the area around the Lightsey Bridge apartments, but I don't know if there is enough room there for a full 18 holes.

I think a better location would be somewhere further out, but still within walking distance. If the course were in and around the surrounding wooded areas of the campus, the holes could be reasonably challenging. A course around Lightsey Bridge would have to have fewer or shorter holes than normal.

I think a nine hole course in the lightsey area would be best. You will run into some resistance as there is a large erosion problem in that area and removing any trees would add to the problem. It can run in and around the the first station and there areas across the street from P&A that could be used. Further out but within walking distance doesn't allow for much. While it would be nice i don't know that is an option.
